Sunday, hockey!
I had a great time with my hockey mate today, I scored once but in 30minutes only once.
Next time, I think I can be a bit more aggressive.
Today, the good player told some of us how to skate, from the very very beginning. That was kind of easy but the keeping balance was really hard.
When I play, I feel like I straighten my leg too much, so I tried to not do that today. As the result, I could run a bit faster!!!
I really love the moment that I get to be used to a new skill!

New cooking style!
Over these 3days, I made lunches for my sister, father and me. The reason for that, I am in a holiday week and I thought I could do something new to develop myself.
It is called obentou in Japan and really common. The merit of having that is good balance. Since at least 3 dishes are needed to put in, it is balanced and is healthier than just eating a big chicken.
Here are some photos I made except on Tuesday, I was pretty busy just making them!

This week, I also started to teach a japanese girl who is just same years old as my sister.
She wants to study English, so I will teach her once a week either Thursday or Tuesday.
Learning outcomes are same as I was used to do to my friend's brother.

Saturday Sunday
Day before yesterday, the school bazaar took place in the Japanese school. It is an annual event and parents help children playing. This year, I supported children as well!
This is a game booth with 5different games.
I did the one called `Buta tataki`, it is a game player hits the pig released by `pig master`.
Pig is released with different speed in 3 chances, and I did reception of that game.
Many people came to that game, some of them were using all 5 challenges they can do per a card sold 50rub.
On Sunday, I played hockey in normal team, I had a chance to goal but i missed doing that. I think I could skate more quickly when I had a chance to goal, to avoid enemies to disturb me to shoot. Next week, I will try to be more quick skater and get more sweatie. Also I forgot to take pictures so try to remember taking photos of me playing!
International day 2012
This week, especially from Wednesday,
I had started making cakes on Wednesday afterschool,
and ended up at 12 o'clock on Thursday!
They are what I made for 2 days!
From the right, Japanese style cheese cakes, maccha cakes(green tea cakes), chocolate cakes and Yatsuhashi.
And Thursday afterschool, our group decorated the room
The final plan for Friday was,
1> Presentation made by Shun
2>Give hand made cakes made by me to top three winners
3>Play a traditional game`Fukuwarai` equipments made by Haruka
4>If we have extra time, `Yamanotesen game`
Fukuwarai is one of very traditional game, it can be said as every Japanese play at least once in s/he of life. We play it at the beginning of a year with family and relatives. It is a game that player pins pieces of face like eyes, ears, nose etc onto a paper which the blank face is written. The player should be blind so that s/he cannot know where to put, people around player can lie. So basically player has exactly no idea where to put them and normally, the face is completed as very very funny.
Yamanotesen game (can be called as Kokontozai as well)is also one of really popular game. Yamanotesen is a one of the train line in Tokyo, like red line in Moscow. People need to decide the theme first, like `country`, then players say Japan, Russia, America,UK etc rythmically, one per person and all players finished saying, back to the first person and continue until someone fails. Once someone said Japan, no one can use it again.
And finally On FRIDAY, International day...
They really enjoyed our country!!!
I was really glad that they enjoyed, on the reflection paper we asked students to write,
all students wrote positive words like interesting, very good, fun, well organized etc, all of 40 papers!
Here are learing outcomes of the international day> by making cakes,
- Increase awareness of my strengths and areas for growth
- Undertake new challenges
- Planned and initiative ativities
- Developed new skills
- Worked collaborativelly with others
- shown perseverance and commitment in activities
- Considered the ethial implications of actions
- Engaged with issues of global importance

For international day
We are keeping preparing for our first own organized international day coming this Friday.
Today, we decided to give a color card to students who got the right answer, so that we can make sure who got that points, and who is the winner.
Here are some pictures we are cutting papers!
For the top 3 students who get highest mark in the quiz presentation, can get prizes!
The prizes are going to be whether Japanese snacks which Haruka will buy day after tomorrow( me and Shun are going to pay her later) or some traditional foods or cakes which are born in Japan. These are going to be the one called Kasutera, Gatto chocola ( it is one of chocolate cakes), and soft soft cheese cake.
After the presentation(this presentation is made by Shun by the way), we will ask students to help making one of easy easy Japanese food which called Yatsuhashi. There are some steps to make it but I will do some at home and will give them easy only stuffs.
Here is the URL of pictures of them!
(Click the URL above. It will automatically connect to Google images)
I am so excited to do it!

Activity for this week!
It was Sunday! So....
HOCKEY!
This picture was taken by my friend last week!
Today, I was in a different group from the one I am usually in,
and I think I could play a bit better than normal! I guess taking a little step every time is really important.
Today, I practiced with Japanese coach for an hour and a half, tried some new formation. It is a basic one, but because 80 percent of club member was beginner including me, we need to do it. This is about when we are offense, first pass to defense, pass between defense, then wing (left and/or right of offense) then center and again wing then shoot. I found some difficulties since our team members were completely new to me, but I think I could improve it if I have next chance.
I am going back to my natural team next week though, I should use this new skill and make an effort for win!
I also joined school basket ball club this week! Although there is no evidence since I was too busy to play... next week, I will try to take some photos!
This is all about this week!
Have a nice day :)!
A good opportunity
Yesterday, I went to my friend, Haruka's house and from there, me, Haruka and another friend, Nakyung visited to a Russian hospital.
This is a picture of the entrance. It is a hospital for children where Haruka's mother was used to work.
Basically, our work was collecting fallen leaves. There were other 2 people, Russian guy and Indian man, they were pretty kind to us, especially Indian man, he took some pictures of us!
AND,,, here they are!
Even though that was pretty hard work since the weather was a bit cold to do it outside, I was really glad that I could join that project. This is because it was first time to do these kind of activity in Russia. Since my communication in Russian is limited, I feel like relationship is really important for me. I really thank you to Haruka giving me the opportunity.
The right picture was before we do and the left is after we have done from another angle. As you can see here, we did it hard!
I wish children who is hospitalizing in the hospital would be happy looking clean small forests :)
- Increase awareness of your strengths and areas for growth
- Undertake new challenges
- Planned and initiated activities
- Worked collaboratively with others
- Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities
- Considered the ethical implications of their actions

Amazing Apple Autumm
The weather in Moscow, it is getting colder and colder everyday long, and I wonder how can I servive this winter coming. It is going to be max cold...
Despite outside, inside of house is always confortable, and there are apples that are operripe, so I decided to try to make an apple pie as a first time!
Although I sometimes make a cake, I had never made a applepie before because I do not really like apple at all. I labeled that applepie is from apple, so that it must be not tasty, but that was all wrong.
What I made here was really easy, you just need to have butter(10g), pie sheet(2), sugar(3tea spoons) and apple(1). I did not know that I can make it that easy, and tasty!
Try once, it was really nice))
Here are some learning outcomes;
>Increase awareness of your strengths and areas for growth
>Undertake new challenges
>Planned and initiated activities>Developed new skills
Enjoy your last night for this week :)!

Video is coming soon!!!
In this week, we decided to make a video for creativity in a body group.
Michal and Haruka are in my team.
We did something so far, though it is secret until next Wednesday!
I like making a video so that it is going to be a good opportunity to improve my skill.
It is actually my first time to use my iPhone to film and to use moviemaker to edit them.
In the first step of making a video, we planed how it is going to be. Our video was actually going to be the one about doing stupid but cool things in BIS. We tried about 20 minutes to goal a basket, throw from the 3point line waking against the goal, but we did not make any goal at all. So we changed the plan to.... you will see what was going on!
Have a nice dream :)

English as a lingua franca
English is always the most suitable language to be called "lingua franca".
However in my country, Japan, people can't really speak it. I guess it because lack of opportunities to speak it and the way teachers teach.
Anyways, I taught my friend's brother English for his exam coming. It is the most famous English examination in Japan, and schools prefer student who has a higher grade of that exam, called
Eiken.
For today, we did some exercises about the past tenses like the differences between "have been" "had been" and "have been being". Hope he understood correctly!
His exam is coming on 14th of October, so I guess I am going to have another chance to teach him!
Leaning outcomes;
1:increase awareness of your strengths and areas for growth
2:undertake new challenges
3:planned and initiated activities
4:develop new skills

Be active!
Autumm is the best season of sports, readings, eating ect...
The weather in Moscow is getting colder and colder everyday and I guess it will be snowing soon...
Here, you will see how I am enjoying my autumm season by the way.
Today's topic is HOCKEY!
I started hockey last year's September, since I was practicing ice skating, I could possibly skate a bit, but that was just A BIT. I actually used to dislike hockey because I thought that it is too active than what I wanted, and it is in the morning. However, I really like it now, though I am still not able to play as well as my hockey-mates do.
We do some practice for one and a half hour every Sunday morning, planned and initiated activities.
It is a Japanese team so that the members are only Japanese except coaches and the grandsons of them. We need to communicate with them in Russian so that my Russian skill can be developed, also my collaborative ability increases.
I did not even know what hockey is when I just came to Russia, so it increases awareness of my strengths and areas for growth.
Here is a video how I played today!
by watching my video, I guess I could play further more front line and I better pull stick at once before I shoot.
